Very hard to see but there is a field rat almost in the middle of the picture.

See all the broke up concrete. This was caused by Hurricane Ike back in 2008. The building we're standing close to was destroyed also. You can't see it in these pictures but the insides look like a bomb hit it. They had all the entrance fenced off.

Mid-afternoon...building a fort!

We came back to the beach that night with our flash lights to chase crabs. We've done this before and have see hundreds of crabs. I'm thinking that it was around July or August. This year we went mid-May and we saw....huuuummm...I think 2. Bummer! So we walked on down to find the fort that they had made earlier in the day...hoping the tide hadn't washed it way. We found it!

As we walked back to our truck, the wind was blowing, the sand was blowing, and my eyes were dried out. My contact went up inside my eye lid and folded up. It was so painful! There was nothing I could do about it until we got back to our hotel. But I did manage to save my contact. Ha!
